Welcome to Maca Music, started by Matt Taylor in 2023 after moving to his Grandparents macadamia farm in Tregeagle. The idea was to create a music experience that was fun and accessible for everyone, something that was missing in Matt’s early musical education. He believed that learning music didn’t have to be one-way-only, and set out to create learning experiences that were tailored to the individual and what they wanted to learn.
Music is different for everyone and that is the beauty of it. The most important thing is that you enjoy yourself in the process, learning more about yourself by engaging your creative side.
We see music as a tool to collaborate and connect with others, while also building confidence and life long skills that translate to all areas of life. Our goal with each student is to go beyond scales and notes, to get them well on their way to playing the songs they love, whatever their process.
Maca Music currently offers individual and group lessons to all skill levels in bass, guitar and drums. We specialise in primary school ages but have taught a range of students from 4 to 81. Lessons can take place at your home, your school or our studio in Tregeagle.
We also offer school holiday camps, live performance opportunities and group band classes.
