Enrolment and Fees

• An enrolment becomes valid and lessons can commence upon confirmation of payment by Maca Music.
• If choosing a prepaid lesson plan, payment must be made at least 24hrs prior to the first scheduled lesson.
• Automatic invoicing: If you choose a prepaid lesson plan, you will be automatically invoiced for an additional prepaid package of the same plan, seven days before your package expires.
• Lessons rates are charged as listed on the Prices page of the Maca Music website and are payable as one whole amount. 
• Payment can be made via the Pay Now link on the invoice, bank transfer or cash. 
• Lesson prices are subject to change in the future. You will be notified ahead of any price increases.
• Maca Music is not responsible for the storage of your credit or debit card details where a third party payment system has collected these details (Paypal).

Cancellation/postponement and make-up lessons

• If you wish to cancel a lesson or unenrol, written notification must be sent to Matt via email or text.
• No refunds will be offered unless the teacher has cancelled the lesson.
• Credits are at the discretion of Maca Music. Cancellations of less than 24hours will not be eligible for a credit. 
• Maca Music will do their best to offer you a make up slot where possible however this is not guaranteed. 
• If your lesson is cancelled more than three times consecutively, Maca Music reserves the right to give your lesson slot to another student 

Lessons

• Lessons begin and end promptly at the designated time.
• Student supervision: Parents are encouraged to allow students to attend lessons independently. However, if they do wish to remain at the studio during studio based lessons parents are encouraged to remain outside the lesson room to avoid disruption. For home lessons, it is best if parents remain out of site. For younger students, parents may enter the studio on request at intervals. Please discuss with Matthew prior to your first lesson if you will be present. Student safety and comfort is of utmost importance. 
• Behaviour: Whilst fun, creativity and personal expression is encouraged, should your child become disruptive to the education and progression of the other students within the group or where student behavior or attitude is deemed inappropriate, Maca Music reserves the right to discontinue lessons. Matthew will contact you directly to discuss the suggested course of action.
• All lessons are conducted by qualified teachers in their field of expertise. All staff have a valid Working With Children (WWC) check and are vaccinated against COVID-19.
• Group lessons are performed according to students’ abilities and may change, depending on the student’s program.
• Change of Teacher: Maca Music reserves the right to supply a substitute tutor if the original tutor is unavailable.
• If the instructor is unable to teach the scheduled lesson, then the student will be taught by a supplementary instructor, or that lesson will be credited or rescheduled.

Privacy

• Maca Music will occasionally use photographs of students on our website or in marketing materials. By accepting these terms and conditions you consent to us capturing and publishing those images without further consent or compensation. Please note, no images containing your child’s identity will be shared on social media. If you do not provide consent, please contact Matthew in writing.
• Under the Privacy Act 1988, you consent to Maca Music collecting personal information for the purpose of fulfilling the program delivery, communicating and marketing to you and processing and enforcing payments.

Liability for Loss

• Maca Music takes no responsibility for lost equipment or learning materials. Any equipment that the student uses in the course of the lessons is their responsibility. We strongly suggest that all of your child’s belongings are clearly marked with their name. 
• In accepting these Terms, you agree to release Maca Music from all liability for any loss or damage (including direct, indirect, special, economic, or consequential loss) however caused, suffered by you in relation to the provision of the music lessons.
• To the extent permitted by law, you agree that for any negligent act, misrepresentation, or breach of warranty under the Australian Consumer Law by Maca Music, any liability for loss shall be limited to the resupply of the lesson, or reimbursement for the lesson, whichever Maca Music in its absolute discretion elects.
• In addition to the above, you agree that where loss or damage suffered by you is due to an act, omission or negligence on your part, Maca Music is not liable for the loss or damage.
